One of the challenges all companies face when installing production operations and accounting software is the different naming tendencies they use to name their assets. It is very common within oil companies that different departments will call the same asset by different names. The Well Header Interface has been developed to address this problem and simplify the installation of software. Within the Well Header Interface, asset naming and asset descriptions will be normalized. A specific asset will be recognized by the same name in accounting, engineering, or land department throughout the company.
