Petroleum engineers are constantly searching for ways to repair or improve the performance of all of their wells. A standard exercise, called a “Well Potential Analysis”, periodically calculates the producing potential of both new and old wells by using well data, well swabbing data, well fluid levels, and other information. Most of the information used in these analyses comes directly from the Production Access database using data captured in routine well completion or well product operations. Because of the unique way that Production Access exports certain well information directly into this Well Potential Analysis system, well productivity estimates can be performed automatically with the click of the mouse.
